Having clocked up 40 years in the hairdressing business, Jackie & Co specialises in intensive treatments such as progressive blow drying, relaxing, and the Japanese Yoko System. The salon is headed by Adimas, who brought his expertise from Brazil to England back in 1990, and is now renowned for his ‘mega hair’ extensions, designed to tumble down backs with Rapunzel-like splendour. Located close to Kensington High Street tube station and open until 7pm Monday to Saturday, 5pm Sundays, the salon also offers beauty treatments including manicures and pedicures and waxing for men and women.
The appointment will begin with a wash before locks are bathed with an intensive conditioning treatment designed to smooth down strands. A senior stylist will then illuminate manes with half a head of highlights before cutting hair in the customer’s desired style. Clients will receive a complimentary hot or cold drink during the session, which will conclude with a warming blow dry. 30% off a subsequent appointment will also be available.
