Synopsis
Based around a capricious band of Youth Club rockers, this jukebox musical throws together teenagers Bobby and Laura in the lead-up to the song writing contest finals. The pair fluctuate between cool gal Sue and tough guy Norman, with fistfights and heartbreak trying their best to distract them from the pursued prize of top rocker.
About The Event
Inspired by the best-selling albums of the same name, Dreamboats and Petticoats has wowed over one million theatregoers since opening in 2009. The stage show jumps back in time to 1961, and replicates the musical hysteria sparked by rock ‘n’ rollers including Billy Fury and The Shadows. Stamped with trademark quality by revered West End producer Bill Kenwright, audiences are invited to twist again with electric choreography and nostalgic dance numbers.
The Venue
Illuminating Northumberland Avenue since 1882, this West End treasure has hosted plays by esteemed writers including Tennessee Williams and J.B. Priestley. The stage has been graced by iconic acts ranging from The Beatles to Queen, and now welcomes guests to witness newly arranged numbers from yesteryear.

The musicians and singers are of very high standard and the story, whilst only being there to show off the songs, was still engaging and very funny.
