The Tour
Hopping aboard the restored 1950s double-decker bus, visitors are whisked away from Victoria coach station for a capital tour with all the trimmings. The on-board guide fills in historical blanks with regards to London’s most famed structures, including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Chugging across Bankside passengers can witness the majestic dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral, while the chequered past of the Tower of London can be delved into with gruesome detail.

Swapping bus for river boat by Traitor's Gate, cultural pilgrims can embark on some waterborne sightseeing across the Thames. The cruise winds past Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and allows prominent sightings of the ancient Egyptian obelisk, Cleopatra’s Needle. A final spin on the bus takes travellers past Buckingham Palace, ideally just in time for the ceremonial changing of the Guard. If sentries decide not to flaunt their precise choreography, the Horse Guards Parade is sure to provide an equally impressive photo opportunity.

Reviews

TripAdvisorsaward Premium Tours a splendid 4/5 stars. While some reviewers would have liked slightly more time at some attractions, they are keen to celebrate the memorable sights and attractions, as well as the engaging guides and their enlightening anecdotes.

We don’t really go for organised tours but must admit we really enjoyed this one on the Old (but modern) Vintage Double Decker Bus ... The Guide was a very happy and jolly chap with a wealth of knowledge about the sites we visited. Easy access to see the Changing of the Guard, all the usual sites around London and then onto a River Cruise of the Thames. Very happy with Premium Tours and thought it was good value.

This is a terrific tour for anyone who has a short time in London. We were able to see many of the sights that London is famous for as well as many out of the way sights that only a tour guide with much knowledge of the city would know …
