The Hotel
Cut like steps into the mountain to echo the Cycladic architecture of the local cliff-side villages, the Volcano View Hotel cascades across levels of rooms, pools, and sun-baked sun loungers. Bedrooms are dressed in soft coloured linen and cool tiles, and one of the three pools has a bar attached for sipping cocktails in cossies. With expansive sea views, the restaurant puts on a lavish American buffet each morning, and also serves à la carte meal . The East view rooms are based within a peaceful development, across the street from the main hotel.

Restless sun-seekers can tear themselves away from the terraces and pools at the hotel and take the shuttle bus north to Fira, just under five kilometres away. From there it's possible to take a three-hour hike along the coastal stone paths towards Oia, the highest point on the island, and watch the sun dip into the azure sea for one of the most beautiful sunsets in Greece. Driving over to Kamari on the other side of the island just under seven kilometres away, visitors can pull up and take their seats at an open air cinema to watch film in the cool evening sea breeze, open until the 17th of August.

What a magical place this hotel is. The view was so amazing, postcards do not do it justice. We stayed in the hotel section,however the rooms were large, very comfortable & very clean. And that view !!
