Incorporating key developments of this corneal reshaping technology, Wake and See provides special lenses to be worn at night so that vision is corrected throughout the day. As an independent practitioner, the company prides itself on its freedom to pick the most suitable brand for each customer, and as a full eye care service provider alternative treatments can also be performed. Many of the lenses supplied have been home-grown in the UK, and each customer is tended with a personally-tailored approach.
Suitable for a range of prescriptions and for both adults and children, the three month-long treatment begins with a consultation with an experienced practitioner. Appropriate ‘shells’ are then provided which are similar to contact lenses, and are worn in the eyes during sleep to temporarily mould the surface of the eye. Customers can then remove the shells in the morning for around 18 hours of corrected vision, with could mean that contact lenses or glasses will no longer be necessary. The vision correction is semi-permanent and completely reversible, with effects maintained by top-up sessions each night.
