Many people think it’s wrong to make sandwiches out of biscuits, but it’s okay if you are using shortbread. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles with today’s Groupon: £39 for a tea party for eight children at Betty Blythe Fine Food Pantry.
Spreading out lashings of canapés and finger sandwiches for vintage-loving guests, Betty Blythe Fine Food Pantry host costume tea parties for adults and children and stuff picnic hampers with traditional treats. The West London caterers put on their pinnies for classy occasions, such as garden parties and christenings, getting balls rolling with 1920s-style waitress outfits and red lipstick. Leith chefs cook up dainty delicacies for outside events, while petite sandwiches are made to be nibbled at their Kensington soirees.
Napkins and flowers will be unfurled for a children’s tea party, with teapots of hot chocolate and stands of mini sandwiches for up to eight guests. Birthday attendees will delve into a dressing-up box for vintage costumes before settling down to a feast of mini muffins, pink wafer biscuits, and brownies, filling plates and teacups for a festive party hour.
Although not widely reviewed at present, Betty Blythe has received some encouraging reviews from visitors who appreciate the quality cupcakes, friendly personnel and retro décor.
I wanted something really special for my daughter’s 6th Birthday and my friend recommended Betty Blythe. They organised it so well- it was the best children’s party ever. I chose two activities, the chocolate workshop and the face painting - found out on the day that they also do princesses parties. The girls were so excited and had so much fun. After the activities, they moved on to afternoon tea and were taught how to become little ladies. I think I had as much fun as them. I strongly recommend.
