About the event
Draping the stage with a couple of twins and few heart-rendering musical numbers, Blood Brothers has been gracing the stage of London's West End for over two decades. Willy Russell’s melodic adaptation features haunting vocals and many a teary scene, sprinkled with chuckles, cheery tunes, and Scouse accents, all under the direction of Bill Kenwright. Marti Pellow wraps up his run as the narrator in the timeless and poignant production of separated twins, superstition, shoes on the table, and brotherly sacrifice.
The theatre
The Phoenix Theatre, opened in 1930, sports fittingly grand decor of decorated ceilings and lavish red curtains, as well as the Noel Coward Bar serving up pre-show and interval tipples. The central show sits almost equidistant from Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square underground stations, offering plenty of eatery options and nearby bars to chew over the evening’s teary entertainment.
