Picture the scene; Cairo 332 B.C, Ptolemy I Soter has declared himself Pharaoh of Egypt following Alexander the Great's conquest, the people are jubilant, they want to celebrate, they want to have fun, what better thing to do than go bowling! Although Egypt claims the world's oldest bowling alley we're pretty sure the Americans perfected it through the first half of the Twentieth Century, and Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes is based on, and partly constructed from, those amazing vintage bowling alleys of the 1950's.
The Bloomsbury Lanes has eight swish bowling lanes, complete with the only vintage above lane ball return outside the US. It's an immensely popular, one off, venue that takes a lead from 1950's Americana. Not content with that they also have a cocktail bar made from old bowling lane wood and a pristine 1950's carpet, which had spend 40 years in storage before they restored it. It doesn't stop there though, famed for its great parties they have some of the coolest nights in London with DJ's playing Rock n Roll, classic indie and retro pop into the night, and have also had Hot Chip, Juliette Lewis and Fun Lovin' Criminals all host gigs and launches. A stylish diner serving excellent food, vintage arcade games and a host of uber fun Karaoke booths complete a one off, independent and unique venue.
So what's the deal? We're offering a Bowling lane for a whole hour, available any time 7 days a week (subject to availability), which accommodates up to 6 people, for the retro price of £12.50 instead of £36! And whats more they are showing all the World Series Soccerball Ties too! (The World Cup) So get off your behinds and have a Bowl of fun. Parp.
