A neon blue frontage gives way to the restaurant’s elegant wooden dining room, while a modish blue and black bar broods upstairs. Its reputation as a jazz lovers’ favourite is confirmed by the dance floor, where shapes are shifted into the early hours.
A gaggle of two, four, six, or eight gourmands can begin their Dover Street experience with a Bellini, before delving into the soup course, with fragrant French onion soup a popular option. Relevés will offer light relief before a choice of main course that includes roast best end of lamb served with aubergine caviar and Lyonnaise potatoes, or four cheese ravioli for vegetarians.
