Groupon Asks

Groupon hits the slopes with The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

What is The Snow Centre?
Turning the winter sports of skiing and snowboarding into all year round activities, the Centre houses tow-ropes and a lengthy main slope that receives two fresh deliveries of snow each week.

Tell us a bit about the coaching and lessons.
Lessons are offered from level one for first timers through to level four for more experienced snow bunnies. Freestyle-specific sessions are available for those keen to boost kickers and press rails. Equipment is included in the lesson price, but seasoned shredders are more than welcome to bring their own gear if they so wish. With temperatures of four to six degrees centigrade on the snow itself, warm and water-resistant clothing is essential and can be bought from home or hired on site.

What can guests do off piste?
Boasting a bird's eye view of the slope, the 150-seat Cafebar serves wine, food and coffee seven days a week. Customers can rest their legs and refuel or simply kick back and take in some Sky Sports action on the multiple big-screen TVs.
