A good meal, like laughter, begins small, becomes hearty and often ends with rolling on the floor. Belly a laugh with today's Groupon: £35 for steak, dessert and a glass of wine for two at MARCO.
Freshly cooked-up by Marco Pierre White, this highly anticipated restaurant is enveloped by central Fulham's Chelsea Football Club complex. MARCO's chefs weave culinary compositions, fusing the intricate, refined tastes of French cuisine with modern British influences. A steakhouse ethos abides, and a hearty orchestration of classic, wholesome dishes, cocktails and wine conjures an environment where diners can enjoy both familiarity and innovation. A subtle, French decadence radiates from smooth mustards, while crimson bouquets and crisp, white table cloths evoke wholesome, British aesthetic. In collaboration with Roman Abramovich, the restaurant offers match day packages, fine cuisine to console or celebrate with.
Beginning with a steak, guests choose a 10oz rib eye (£23.50) or sirloin steak (£22.50), which can be accompanied by grilled oysters, escargot or béarnaise sauce. Classic desserts such as Eton mess, and caramelised apple pie (both £6.50) satisfy the sweet tooth while a glass of fine wine accompanies the entire affair. Vegetarian options are available.
Reviews of the restaurant have been mostly positive, with diners noting the modern décor and quality food served. TripAdvisor users scored an average of 5/5 and gave further mention to the efficient service.
Although we hadn't made a reservation, the restaurant started to fill up quite quickly as the match neared kick-off time. However we were not made to feel unwelcome and thus we were not rushed at all. I cannot praise this place enough - first class food, first class presentation, first class atmosphere - without pretentiousness or arrogance

This was a really good night out. Simple classic dishes done to perfection. Not cheap, but a special night out and not overly expensive. Not too loud or busy. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening. A treat.
