A Cabby Beret, the hat worn by taxi drivers in the 1920s was famed for its ability to cap fares, fedora off free riders and recite Shakespearean bonnets. Doff your cap to cabaret with today's Groupon: for £21.60 instead of £54 get a three course meal at the supper club and entrance to the evening's entertainment at Proud Cabaret.
In the heart of eccentric, eclectic East London, the interior of Proud Cabaret plays homage to 1920s speakeasies and defies all that's drab with a reconstruction of underground glitz and glamour. A paean to a departed era, the club enforces a dress code of 20s' attire, with flapper dresses and Al-Capone inspired suits encouraged. Bugsy's and Tallulah's seeking out Proud Cabaret can enjoy an evening of entertainment with the option of feasting faces at the Supper Club which has an impressive, classically British menu. Seating up to 240, decadent dining for small or large groups of cabaret connoisseurs is possible.
Groupon holders gallivanting to Proud Cabaret can expect to satisfy empty breadbaskets with three courses of traditional fare, whilst feasting eyes on the evening's entertainment. Diners are placed in a bygone area, with regalia titivating the walls and 20s ambience conjured in the burlesque adornment of the waitresses and performers.

As well as being featured in Esquire magazine, Proud Cabaret has received a score of four stars out of five from ViewLondon users who were particularly captivated by the décor and extravagant performers.
In less than two years, Proud Cabaret has become one of London’s most lavish cabaret and burlesque venues, fusing retro Hollywood supper club with the glamour of Weimar-era Berlin.

The food was filling and very nice- good standards with a bit of a twist, nothing scary and totally unidentifiable, and it was nicely spaced out so we could take our time and enjoy the show. The show was great! Sexy ladies, classy ladies, charming singer, and a really nice DJ after who played all our requests, guilty pleasure songs for sure!
