Synopsis
Tuned to the sounds of LA in the 1980s, this musical follows the belting highs and sonorous lows of a couple dreaming of fame in the big city. Having packed up their lives from their small town home, the boy and girl arrive on Sunset Strip to navigate hope, love, and the impracticalities of having such huge hair. Their story journeys forwards along a soundtrack of classic eighties power ballads and guitar solos, with songs including Don't Stop Believin', Can't Fight This Feeling, and The Final Countdown.

Reviews

Rock of Ages receives 4/5 stars from The Independent and 4.5/5 from Ticketmaster users, as well as favourable write-ups from Daily Mirror and The Sun. While some critics would have liked more laughs, reviewers praise the anthemic musical numbers and energy of the cast.

A show as big and bold as Eighties hair and more fantastically frivolous than Bon Jovi’s leather trousers.
The Sun, Sep 2011

Rock of Ages is a hugely enjoyable evening celebrating a time and music we should really leave behind, but can’t. It will rock your world, not arf!
