Ballerinas, like socks and shoes, display feet beautifully, jump around a lot, and often come in two-twos. Be moved by today’s Groupon: £15 for an upper range ticket for The Nutcracker with The Birmingham Royal Ballet at The O2.
Offering a sparkling, lively helping of a classic seasonal ballet, Peter Wright’s well-known production of The Nutcracker gives the breathtaking dancers at the Birmingham Royal Ballet something to get their teeth into. A four day residency brings a whirl of festive toys, battling mice, and dancing sweets to the grand amphitheatre of The O2 arena, trailing a five star review from the Telegraph in their wake. The production features spectacular sets and costumes by John Macfarlane, and tells its spellbinding story of Christmas magic in classic style.
Cracking performances can be enjoyed between Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 December, with a choice of matinee or evening stagings. Patrons can enjoy the second best seats on offer, with Level 1 and Level 4 views of quickfire footwork and sparkling snow. Doors are swept open at 6pm for evening performances, and show carries the audience from a Christmas party to the land of sweets over an enchanting two hour journey, leaving them with dancing hearts.

Reviews
Louise Levene at The Telegraph has described the storytelling as one of “grandeur and simplicity”, noting specific unforgettable moments for her. The O2 has received a very positive response from visitors.
There are few greater thrills than BRB’s Act I transformation scene in which the Stahlbaum drawing room swells with the music, until Clara is dwarfed by a giant Christmas tree and a cavernous chimneypiece teeming with piratical rodents.
– Louise Levene, The Telegraph, Dec 2011
…The O2 really does live up to its hype of being a world class entertainment venue - easily accessible by tube and large station and although tickets felt very expensive I felt the experience was worth it
