The Event

The tale of a group of working-class Dublin musicians leaps off the pages of Roddy Doyle's best-selling novel and onto the stage at the Palace Theatre as the curtain opens on The Commitments. Two years in the making, the adapted stage show tells the story of Jimmy Rabbitte, a young music lover who creates a stunning soul band from a motley crew of amateur musicians. Drama and comedy ensue, as The Commitments learn to work with their instruments and as a band, with plenty of trials and tribulations along the way.

Choose from the following options for tickets to The Commitments:

  • £19.50 for third price (44% off)

  • £25 for second price (44% off)

  • £40 for top price (36% off)

Featuring soul classics such as Night Train, Try A Little Tenderness, River Deep, Mountain High, In The Midnight Hour, Papa Was A Rolling Stone, Mustang Sally, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, I Can't Turn You Loose and more.
