Groupon finds out about the activities at Chatham Ski Slope and Snowboard Centre, built especially for those with a need for speed.
What lesson options are available at the centre? Both skiing and snowboarding lessons are offered, with a range of options according to ability and age. There are group classes for adults and juniors as well as for school and college groups. One-to-one private lessons are also available.
Can visitors just ski and snowboard freely? Yes. Recreational use is available to those with experience, who do not need lessons. They can use the dry slope at their leisure, in 90-minute chunks.
What other activities are there? For an easier downhill experience, thrill-seekers can toboggan or sno-tube down the slope. Parties can also be organised involving either of these activities.
Is food available? The Alpine Lodge serves snacks, meals and drinks and also provides a view of the slope. The eatery can also be rented out for private functions.
