Riding the wake of ten successful years, Joss Bay Surf School has a team of ISA-qualified instructors who help wave-shredders ride in style. With swimming costume and towel in hand, water babes of all ages will take on the challenge of a morning or afternoon two-hour surf lesson. First-time surfers will receive basic training ashore, where they will find out about safety and awareness, and be taught how to ‘pop up’ onto the board like toast in the morning. Once surfers have been kitted out with a wetsuit and surfboard, this will be followed by a water session, when moves such as the 'starfish fall' or the 'wobbly stand' will be mastered. Confident enough to tackle the waves, newly gnarly boarders can then indulge in an hour’s worth of board hire.
