Hurtling professionally down routes less travelled, True Grip was established in 1994 to provide specialist off-road driving courses and training for speedy enthusiasts. A team of experienced instructors pass on their sage-like wisdom on 4x4s, with training for professional or recreational use, winching and recovery, expedition preparation, and various other courses. A wide fleet of specialist vehicles can be found under True Grip, ranging from bombastic Humvees to ex-military Land Rover Defenders.
With safety briefing, introduction and overview checked off the list, one, two, or four drivers can pop on some comfortable clothing, don their leather gloves, with shades as optional, and be seated for a two hour off road 4x4 experience. Sharing with up to two other passengers, customers will be expertly careered over bumps and molehills, side slopes and gullies, and splashed through water before getting behind the wheel themselves for 30-35 minutes of white-knuckle riding.
