Putting the childhood glee back into running, this club focusses on the simple enjoyment and social engagement of running towards specific goals. The club has trained over 300 runners for a range of races across the southern stretches of the UK and combines group running sessions with nutritional plans and strength training to help runners forge new personal bests. The instructors fit the intensity of each session around the requirements of the individual, from hares to tortoises and those people in between.
Leading one hour running sessions from Monday to Thursday from 19 March, the instructors will motivate fitness seekers during the ten week course, aiming to be a recipe for success in long-term fitness goals. The sessions are also designed to prepare runners for upcoming athletic challenges, such as a 5k fun run, local 10ks, a half-marathon or the Bupa London 10,000. Grouped with those of a similar mindset, runners will be worked through a progressive programme, specially designed to improve strength and endurance. The course also features nutritional guidelines to make sure bodies can be fuelled effectively for getting on the marks and going.
