Master of turning life into art, Rockabelly Lifecasts creates plaster and metallic sculptures of subjects ranging from pregnant bellies and child's hands to a favourite pet's paw. The studio's leading lady is a well-known name of the casting world, exhibiting works in arty hotspots and showing off talents in international competitions. In addition to hands-on studio projects, the company expertly chisels a variety of short courses for people wanting to hone their own crafty skills.
Clients can come along to the Maidstone studio to see their pouting lips immortalised as a three dimensional cast. The experience will see seaweed-based gel being applied to the client's lips as they carefully hold the pout or a relaxed lip pose. After ten minutes, the cast will have taken on a full-bodied form and a paint finish can be selected from a colourful range of options. The finished sculpture can then be collected from the studio at a later date or delicately sent in the post for an additional fee.
