The Ridge Golf Club matches PGA professional tuition to an 18 hole course and views towards the Kent coast, helping players of all abilities to reach new heights. The course rolls through 6,214 yards of manicured fairways, contoured greens, and a few pesky water hazards, while the rest of the club is fully-equipped with practice bunkers and a driving range. PGA pro James Sheldrick brings dedication and focus to each aspect of his teaching, and a fully-stocked clubhouse and restaurant lies close by for the well-earned stoking of golfing tummies.
The half hour lessons can be taken on the course or the driving range, and students will work through their long games and short games as they strive to lower their handicap. Club hire and balls are included, and video tuition is par for the course when it comes to detailed analysis of gameplay.
The Ridge has attracted an abundance of favourable reviews, and Golf Shakers rate the club an above-par 3.8/5 stars. Earning special mention in visitor write-ups are the quality of practice facilities, varied and challenging nature of the course, and personable service provided in the bar.
Fairways and tee boxes needed some water but the greens were in good condition, very fast. A number of tight holes and some thought is required for club selection as some of the dog legs require an iron rather than driver. Overall a good course, that I would play [again].

The greens were great, the course is a picture. There are a couple of dogs legs but I feel this adds to the problem of course management, stops you just pulling out a driver and booming it. The bar area was extremely friendly as were all the staff. I would certainly recommend this to any friends.
