About Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating technique in which dry and dead skin is smoothly sent off to seek its fortune by a controlled mechanical medium. Generally, the treatment is used to tackle fine lines, wrinkles and other visible skin woes, and is said to require a shorter recovery time than its slightly more intense older brother, dermabrasion.
The Merchant
Sitting pretty with over 24 years of aesthetic experience, Tips ‘n’ Toes is run by a team of NVQ trained beauticians that use brands such as Jane Iredale and Environ. The eye-popping menu at this unisex salon spans a range of treatments from manicures and pedicures to IPL hair removal and the buzzing baton of microdermabrasion.
The Session
Once having prepped the face with a quick cleansing, the therapist will switch on the microdermabrasion machine and pass the wand across the areas seeking exfoliation. Attention will then turn to the back, neck, and shoulders which will be treated to a 30 minute massage.
