Groupon asks Diane Barclay-Bernard, owner of Ellenwhorne Equestrian Centre, to tell us why she loves riding, and finds out more about the most famous horse in her life.
G: What do you cover in your lessons?
"All aspects of riding - everything from basic lessons to dressage, show jumping, and eventing."
G: Tell us a bit about your horses and ponies.
"We have horses of all sizes and seasons, all of who are safe and well-schooled. Sadly, some had horrendous stories before we rescued them. "
G: Who is the greatest horse of all time (fact or fiction) and why?
"Mr. Lawrence, my award-winning cob who saved my life twice. He was more than a horse, indeed a member of the family. His companionship kept me steady through good times and bad, and he taught many children to ride."
G: Why do you love riding?
"Freedom. The joining of two kindred spirits. "
