Adding a dash of Ayurvedic sensibility, Dilli serves up plates of authentic Indian fare alongside catering and cooking classes from their Altrincham hub. Scents from Tikki to Bhaji fill the Cheshire restaurant with aromatic hints of spice, honed for years by chef Mohammed Naeem and praised in publications such as The Times. With an eye for expanding its culinary mission, the restaurant also offers outside catering services and cooking courses for at-home tongue tickling.
Curious epicureans can try their hand at vegetarian cooking during the three hour course at Dilli, starting with a 30 minute gourmet demonstration from chef Ravi Bajaj. Sautéing red kidney beans for a Northern Indian rajama dish, students will learn how to craft three courses including soya with cauliflower and potatoes. Guests will then finish by baking gluten-free bread filled with vegetables before taking their masterpieces home for consumption. Classes will be available Mondays and Thursdays 6pm-9pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-3pm.
