While prolonged exposure to salsa may add flavour to dance repertoires, extended immersion in guacamole just leaves a faint whiff of avocado. Bite into rhythm with today’s Groupon: £10 for a ticket to a Latin American salsa class, dance performance, and live music night at Copacabana.
About The Event
Celebrating 18 years’ worth of Latin swing and Cuban rhythms, Copacabana hosts a night brimming with south equatorial exuberance. The festivities include a fiery salsa and bachata class, with movers and shakers put through their steps by guest instructors. Professional teacher Jordan will later hook up with partner Emilia for a rhythmic performance, taking inspiration from the World Salsa Championships in California. The Latin trio La Tinto Bros. shall prolong the fiesta with a live music set, filling the dance floor with traditionally upbeat compositions.
Serving up passionate salsa and merengue lessons, Copacabana also dishes out fiery club nights as well as tapas and Mexican culinary favourites. The event will kick off at 7.30pm, with guests taking a partner for an interactive salsa and bachata class, before the dance performance demonstrates refined technique. Live music will embrace the centre from 8.30pm, with visitors able to glide with the tempo and fine-tune manoeuvres until 1am.

This is another hidden gem that most of Manchester probably hasn't even heard of, yet if you allow yourself to venture somewhere different, you'll realise how much fun you can have. This unashamedly Latin bar/restaurant gets you in the mood with great drinks and tapas, then gets you in the mood with Salseros taking to the floor and beckoning you to join them ...
