The Hotel
A four star hotel in a peaceful part of Playa de Palma, and a mere 100 meter breeze from the sea, Hotel Iberostar Royal Cristina clusters around lagoon-like outdoor pools. The stretch of sandy beach of Playa de Palma is a popular spot for sailing, water skiing, and wind surfing, and Palma’s harbour is 14 kilometres away. A 15 minute car ride to the city of Palma plunges you into a maze of streets; the old city’s architecture hints at is Arabic history, and the Arab Baths give a glimpse into the multi-layered history. Also consider climbing the hill to La Seu, Palma’s hugely magnificent cathedral which was constructed over a sprall of centuries and looks particularly ethereal lit up after dark.

The staff on Reception were very friendly and welcoming and quickly got us checked in, we were very pleased to find we had been given a pool view room, it was freshly decorated and very clean. There was plenty of choice at mealtimes, it was very busy and at one point we had to wait for a table but the staff made sure we were seated as quickly as possible.
