An equestrian settlement at the base of the Lyme Park National Trust land, Mill Farm is home to 50 horses and a certified Pony Club centre. The 170 acres of farm and woodland provide stimulating treks with a hefty dose of great British country air, and structured lessons are in place to advance skills, instruct pony care, and build confidence around the humble steed. With activities to suit tentatively trotting rookies, advanced jockeys, or those who fancy saddling up after a halt, the horsey centre provides a learning curve complete with hooves and carrots.

Donning jodhpurs and tacking up, customers can trot off in to the Cheshire countryside skimming the Peak District, gulping in breaths of wonderful winter air. The 90 minute ride will be tailored to ability, allowing for hilltop gallops and relaxing meanders accompanied by the odd deer, pheasant, or hare. The canter tour will take teams through the local wooded beauty spots, offering a glimpse of the Lyme Park Cage tower, as country breezes caress riding hats.
