Synopsis

Based on the band that once outsold both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones during the iconic swinging sixties, Monkee Business follows the story of four innocent boys who fall prey to an evil record producer, and are tricked into impersonating one of the biggest bands in the world. As they struggle to conceal their own personalities, a rather un-groovy world-tour leads to unexpected entanglements with a group of intriguing Russian spies, an army of Tower Beefeaters, and even a railway carriage full of nuns.

About The Event
Produced by Michael Rose, written by Peter Benedict (Naked Flame, Fire, Down Under), directed by David Taylor (Cats, A Chorus Line, The Prisoner of Second Avenue) and choreographed by David Morgan (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Monkee Business The Musical has been described as 'a zany, madcap Austin Powers-style adventure', complete with romance, eye-catching designs and hilarious gags. With a hefty cast and suave live rock ‘n’ roll band to loudly roar through the band’s back catalogue, fans of the band and primate newbies will revel in revisited, emphatic versions of classic songs including Daydream Believer, Last Train To Clarksville, I’m a Believer and, of course, Hey Hey We’re The Monkees!
