Making a splash over a 10 acre lake in the Fylde countryside, Blackpool Wake Park is the only cable wakeboarding facility in the north west of England, and is staffed by a sprightly bunch of instructors approved by the British Water Ski Federation. A cross between water skiing, snowboarding and surfing, wakeboarding is a fun-filled activity for those wanting to get to grips with the water, as far as is physically possible. After dry land instruction and a safety briefing, boarders can put it all into practice using the 'system 2.0' straight line cable system, that allows for a continuous ride. With all equipment provided including the wakeboard, helmet and life jacket, budding boarders will receive one-to-one coaching from a qualified pro.
