Pursuing her passion for all things sparkly, Lynda Harrison creates bespoke pieces of jewellery for style-concious customers, and offers tuition to help others master the sparkly art. Lynda's impressive collection of pieces encompasses everything from delicate concoctions of turquoise and Swarovski beads, to chunky leopard print designs and burlesque beaded chokers. Unique bridal jewellery can be made to order, and gift box services provide a pearly encasement for bejewelled gifts.
All the necessary tools and materials are provided for creating pieces, with crystal, Miyuki, Lucite, and faux pearl beads ready to be threaded. Students will be tutored on the creation of a pair of daytime earrings, a pair of crystal evening earrings, and a necklace and earring set, all of which can be taken home. There will also be an introduction to different types of jewellery findings, all made in silver or plated with gold. Saturday or Monday classes are available, with Saturday classes taking place in the tea room of Astley’s elegant Damhouse: a listed building with scenic views over the gardens and duck pond. Monday sessions get sparkling in St Peters Pavilion and, in both venues, a buffet lunch is hosted for hardworking jewellery students.
