Prior to the invention of the tomato, the main ingredients in salsa were Latin American dance steps. Move your palate to a new beat with today’s Groupon: £17 for a three course Brazilian lunch for two at La Esquina Latina.
Warming bellies with its colourful cuisine, La Esquina Latina serves up the piquant and playful flavours of Brazilian and Columbian fare in a vibrant and spacious setting. The restaurant team employs authentic Latin American recipes to concoct homely breakfasts, bountiful buffets, and even fresh smoothies and coffees. Striving to match all tastes, the dextrous chefs offer a varied menu to make every taste bud dance, and prepare numerous fish-based, vegetarian, and child-friendly dishes.
Arriving between midday and 4pm, epicurean twosomes can sit amid the jazzy furnishings to embark upon their three course tour of traditional Brazilian comfort food. A soup of the day (£3.50) will elegantly kick off the meal, before diners move swiftly on to a Latin American sizzler (£12.95) consisting of various spiced meats and peppers, accompanied by a flavourful sauce and served on a hot sizzler dish, with a vegetarian option available. Readying sweet teeth for a choice of dessert (£4.50), sugar-lovers can tuck into such delights as the piñas a la parrilla con helado which comprises of slices of grilled pineapple, topped off with a cleansing vanilla ice-cream.
La Esquina Latina is rated a tasty 4.5/5 by satiated TripAdvisors while a CityLife food critic raved about her dining experience and highlighted ‘beautifully cooked meat’ which was complemented by a special chimichurri sauce.
We were beaten by our first serving. The buffet included rice, potatoes, salads, olives, more meat still in the chilli con carne and a beef stew served with ‘love’. The chorizo and bean stew and lentils were hearty – I wish I could make pulses taste so good. There are veg and fish platters as alternatives to the meat.

Next this HUGE plate of meat was brought out, lovely chargrilled beef, chicken, sausages and loved the crispy pork! And then to top it all off, such friendly people to serve you. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!
