A soup of the day (£3.50) will elegantly kick off the meal, before diners move swiftly on to a Latin American sizzler (£12.95) consisting of various spiced meats and peppers, accompanied by a flavourful sauce and served on a hot sizzler dish, with a vegetarian option available. Readying sweet teeth for a choice of dessert (£4.50), sugar-lovers can tuck into such delights as the piñas a la parrilla con helado which comprises of slices of grilled pineapple, topped off with a cleansing vanilla ice-cream.

We were beaten by our first serving. The buffet included rice, potatoes, salads, olives, more meat still in the chilli con carne and a beef stew served with ‘love’. The chorizo and bean stew and lentils were hearty – I wish I could make pulses taste so good. There are veg and fish platters as alternatives to the meat.
