Very easy to access from the motorway, a gateway to the lake district at the southern end of Lake Windermere. The food was great and the staff were particularly welcoming, plus the interior of the old building was a nice contrast to previous trips in the lake district staying in tiny cottages and having to do the cooking!

The receptionists and bar man were very helpful and cheerful. Our room on the second floor overlooking the garden was lovely. It was very clean had a nice bathroom, plenty of hot water and a very comfy bed.
