With three of Rainy City’s very own roller girls now representing Team England, this squad of gliding athletes take on the feisty, full-contact sport by pulling their socks up and getting their skates on. The coaches of Rainy City Roller Girls have been welcoming new, budding skaters since 2008 and offer training sessions on Monday, providing a set of wheels, safety wear, tips, and tricks. Passionate about their feisty full-contact sport, the girls at Rainy City are consistently striving to raise money to attend the bouts they have worked hard for and refurbish their facility.
Daring duos can make their way to the Thunderdome for 6pm to watch the Rainy City Roller Girls take on the Central City Rollergirls, a fast-paced, hands-on bout, where the two teams of five skaters will battle it out. Lasting for two hours, pairs can watch on open-mouthed as the roller girls zoom round during a series of 30 minute jams. The ticket entitles customers to stay on after 8pm and join the girls for an after party.
