Laden with the legendary tales of 17th century witches, The Pendle Inn is a traditional country guesthouse and pub serving flavoursome home-made fare and real ales at a rural Barley location. The culinary scene could be set with filo-wrapped Thai prawns served with a soy reduction and sweet chilli dip (£4.95) or black pudding fritters with watercress, apple, and mustard chutney (£4.50), before the second act takes to the stage. Meals could lead the way with slow-braised lamb shanks teamed with a mint and cranberry jelly (£12.50) or the creamy mushroom stroganoff served with rice and a garlic ciabatta (£9.95), or take a twist with the Italian chicken breast with olives, Parmesan, and a tomato and red wine sauce (£11.50). Performances will be toasted with a glass of house wine each 0(up to £3.50).
