Recently nominated for Best Newcomer in the Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2011, this centrally located fine dining restaurant offers exciting, seasonal menus for food enthusiasts. Head chef, Ian Armstrong, has used his experience working in a variety of restaurants to create modern and imaginative dishes served in a five floor venue of eating and drinking marvellousness. With an impressive drinks list also presented within Vertigo Restaurant and Bar's elegant interiors, thirst can be quenched just as stylishly as hunger.
A duo of gastronauts can enjoy a diverse array of finger friendly fodder, while sipping on sumptuous cocktails, expertly crafted by one of Vertigo's mixologists. Warm canapés may include hot oak smoked salmon blinis, teriyaki beef, soft quail Scotch eggs, or smoked haddock and gruyere risotto cakes. Grazers may prefer cold equivalents like the classic prawn cocktail, carpaccio of tuna and cucumber, or horseradish gazpacho.
79% of TripAdvisors said they would recommend Vertigo Restaurant to their hungry friends. A majority said the dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavours, but a few diners said they would have appreciated bigger servings.
My personal favourite was the salmon on a beetroot risotto, I would recommend it to anyone, it was moist and juicy and looked amazing. Vertigo's menu was diverse with out [sic] over stretching its self.

The food itself came in the most creative, exquisitely presented dishes I have ever experienced outside of Paris... everything was clearly prepared to a very high and exacting standard; meticulous attention to detail and real creative flair were evident. Particularly impressive was the duo of black pudding and pork wrapped in bacon....
