The small but sweetly-formed company busily supplies buffets, personalised cakes, and the skills to make sugar-based treats to the people of Hartlepool. The team tailor-makes cakes to each sweet-tooth’s desire, using traditional sponge recipes and carefully crafted toppings, while a newly-opened café provides a chance to sample creations. The company also caters for private and commercial events, using fresh ingredients which are locally-sourced where possible to create dinky canapés and extravagant wedding banquets.

The class lasts for four hours, and decorators are powered by nibbles and refreshments throughout the session. All equipment and ingredients are provided, and one-to-one tuition guides icers through making decorations with sugar paste or fondant, whipping-up and piping a batch of perfect buttercream, and artfully topping cupcakes to personal taste. Many secrets are shared, and each participant takes home their six cupcakes along with a fact-pack to help them pretty-up cakes at home.
