The castle combines both luxurious splendour with warmth and comfort, offering 73 cosy bedrooms, each individually designed and decorated with sumptuous double beds, squidgy arm chairs and elegant patterned draperies.
Striding into the hotel’s charming ambience, guests will be lead to a comfortably furnished courtyard room where a box of Belgian chocolates awaits, as well as a bottle of Ocean Point Shiraz wine to get things off to a corking start, or a ‘Lord Lumpy’ castle teddy bear. The courtyard rooms are located immediately adjacent to the hotel, in what was originally the stable block of the castle. We were impressed from the time that we saw the towers from the road. The reception, the corridors, the stairs and the room all matched to our expectations of an old and little dark castle. We loved it! We were lucky enough to get the romantic room with red interior. Everything was absolutely beautiful.
