In business, they say some high flyers just naturally have the gift of the gab, but it is more likely that they were just airborne. Fly through the ranks with today's Groupon: £22.95 for an indoor skydiving experience with a DVD and a digital photograph at Airkix.

In a grand and translucent stadium dedicated to futuristic entertainment, Airkix delivers gravity defying experiences from its indoor skydiving centres. Based in Milton Keynes, the centre negates the need for cloud-skimming airplane jumps by offering a more grounded shortcut to flying. The innovative technology turns a conventional wind tunnel upright, causing a fast, vertical airflow which lifts kitted-out humanoids off their feet. Attracting winged-anthropoids from all over the land, the centres can cater for groups of thrill-seekers, as well as individuals with their heads in the clouds.

Intrepid air wanderers will don skydiving suits and make their way to the flight chamber for two sessions, each giving a nifty 1 minute of airtime. An instructor will guide guests into correct flying positions before helping them to perform some superhero-worthy actions. Each session offers the equivalent free-fall time of approximately three skydives and is accompanied by a DVD and a digital photograph to capture high-flying memories for good.

Reviews
Airkix is rated an exhilarating 4/5 stars by DooYoo-ers and 4.5/5 stars by Google Mappers. Would-be skydivers gave good feedback about the centre, and said it’s almost as good as the real thing:
Airkix is basically indoor skydiving, brilliant for those who would like to experience flight but without actually jumping out of a plane. It's also a cheaper alternative.
