Helping fitness-seekers to keep lean with a little apparatus, the Polenastics team boasts Pippa Caesar, a judge on the panel of the World Pole Dance 2010 competition. The centre's instructors are a close-knit bunch who endeavour to understand and dispel any worries that new learners might bring to a class, and provide suitable instruction whatever their age or shape. All manner of dancer is welcomed into Polenastics and the poles are available for hire at parties and limbo soirees.
Getting things started with an introductory one-to-one instructor chat, pole trainees will get to work, sharing a pole with one or two dancers of similar ability. Each one hour session includes a warm up and warm down, as well as pole moves, floor work, and fancy pants tricks. After eight lessons, beginners will be making their way up a level and as lifetime Polenastics members, can continue on the path with £5 off their next course of four lessons.
