Revelling in vintage wisdom next to Newcastle Cathedral, this fine-dining restaurant complements its international array of cuisines with hand-picked wines from around the world. Argentinian, Italian, and South African tipples are among the selection, while Moroccan flavours mingle amid other influences in the kitchen. The family-run restaurant uncorks its bottles in a suitably stylish setting, with soft lighting and wine racks decking the walls, all just a few minutes' stroll from Central Station.

Toasting the start of the meal with a Prosecco or Champagne flute, diners can nibble on an appetiser such as sun-blushed tomato with pickled chillies marinated in pomegranate purée. Each following course in the regularly changing set menu will be served hand-in-hand with a glass of tailor-matched vino for each diner, such as goats' cheese won-ton with a pear-scented pinot grigio and Moroccan lamb tagine with a violet-perfumed merlot. Lime cheesecake concoctions can cleanse the palate while a rich dessert wine winds things down.

Reviews

Noosh has received a favourable 4/5 stars from TripAdvisors. While some guests encountered a wait during busy periods, reviewers have praised the quality of meals and the eatery’s atmosphere and waitstaff.

We ate here for Valentine's Day when we were visiting Newcastle. Food was lovely, well presented and very tasty. Portion sizes were sensible so we had room for desert as well - balsamic vinegar ice cream was lovely! Service was good too - just the right level of attention without being overbearing.
