Helping youngsters tune up their on-stage skills, the experienced instructors at this harmonious company put professional instruments in the hands of kids across the North. The School Of Rock and Pop team employs group activities to help develop musical ability, as well as encourage confidence and communication skills through collaborative exercises and performances. Suitable for pupils of all levels, the classes and workshops place emphasis on group participation, fun, and some totally rad guitar shredding.
Getting into the groove from 10am to 3pm, this workshop invites up to 21 likeminded kids aged 10- 14 to get to grips with rock music, with the handy advice of a pro instructor. Each burgeoning star will have the opportunity to play an instrument as they band together and break both social and creative boundaries to make music, rocking out through a mix of teamwork and hands-on exercises. Taught in a safe and inclusive environment, the class will peak with an afternoon performance to show off newly learned skills in front of family and friends.
