£5 for £20 Worth of Food at the Award-Winning As You Like It

Set across three expansive floors, each opulently decorated with chandeliers, exposed wood and stone brickwork, this impressive venue is host to four bars, a restaurant, and a huge function room. As You Like It offers ample space for intimate occasions in their chic black booths or tables for two, as well as areas for larger groups at lengthy, dark wood tables or sprawling brocade-covered armchairs. The high-ceilinged haven was voted the seventh sexiest restaurant in the world by the Observer in 2008, but it isn't just for adults. Children are welcome to dine, choosing from their own menu, or taking a smaller portion of the extensive adult selection.

Consisting of home-made, locally-sourced dishes, the restaurant has got their hands and wellied feet dirty in finding their beloved ingredients, supporting local farmers, producers and good eggs through their meticulous selection. The food is such good quality - even a couple of my friends who were having simple fish and chips and a burger were raving about their meals. the service was spot on right from when we arrived until we finally left in the early hours. It wasn’t just the interiors that we were very taken with, the menus impressed, too, with an emphasis on locally sourced, seasonal produce. This was real comfort food, the quality beef full of flavour, the batter encasing the giant onion rings crisp and light. It was deemed a really satisfying dish.
