The Hotel
A cluster of old stone buildings and wooden cabins looking out to the vast expanse of Kielder Forest Park, Herding Hill Farm offers a few little luxuries to take the chill out of camping. The tea room specialises in locally sourced food, with smoke-roasting barbecues every Friday and two alpacas to talk to while the food's cooking. The sparkly amenities block has underfloor heating, showers, and a sauna to warm up hike-weary toes. Fire pits can be filled with logs from the shop and gathered round long into the night, and guests tired of watching the sparks lift into the night sky can retire to bed in one of the wooden wigwams.
