Less than 15 minutes from the hotel, Alnwick Castle sits atop a hill adjacent to 12 acres of richly landscaped gardens. Visit Alnwick Garden and the castle to experience £42 million's worth of flora and fauna, and the reaches of a majestic castle seen in major blockbusters. With a bit more of a drive, visitors can embark upon the 84 mile National Trail of Hadrian's Wall. The path stretches from coast to coast, traversing a multi-hued diversity of English landscapes. Reviews
Roxbro House received high praise from TripAdvisor users, who rated the hotel a dreamy 5/5 and helped it become a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice 2012 Winner. Among the compliments, special mentions went to the hotel’s décor and location, welcoming atmosphere, and the extra touches that made the service stand out for guests.
From the welcome, to the bedroom, to the little touches (like fresh milk outside your door in the morning for your 1st cup of tea of the day), to the breakfast, everything was first class.

The whole house is amazing and is decorated beautifully. There are two sitting rooms to relax in, one with a selection of books and info on Northumberland and the northeast , the other has the honesty bar and a view of the castle.
