Encompassed by 25 years of culinary expertise, Sonny’s Italia is a family-run eatery that's peppered with authentic rustic fare and stirred with a Mediterranean twist. The dark wooden and ambient interior is complemented by freshly-prepared pizzas, creamy pastas, and tender cuts of grilled meat and fish. Birthday bashes, wedding parties, and business lunches need not be forgotten and can tuck into home-made Italian fare with private event catering.
Strutting their way onto taste buds, starters includes the freshly-prepared vegetable and mozzarella crudité (£4.50) and the classic bruschetta topped with roast tomatoes, cheese, garlic, parsley, and a drizzling of olive oil (£3.80). The parade of pastas includes the Amatriciana, dressed with crispy bacon, bell peppers, onion, garlic, a Napoli sauce (£8.40) and the velvety-rich spinach, courgette, and fried sweet potato risotto embellished with a tomato ragu (£7.90). While the New York deli, topped with roast beef, spinach leaves, horseradish cream and capers (£8.40) and royal Caesar paradiso decorated with goats' cheese, mozzarella, and marinated olives (£7.90), make up the procession of pizzas.

We both had the Home Made Liver Pate to start and when this came it looked very attractive to the eye which always enhances the food experience. The Pate was delightful which was served with a fresh, crisp salad and Melba Toast. Following a good break our Main Courses of Lasagne and Pizza Polpetonne were served. My Pizza was made with fresh dough, soft inside with a slight outer crunch. It was very good.
