Keeping their hips swishing in two London locations, while supping on the cultural cocktail of Cuba, Cubacheche gives lessons in lavish Latin dancing. Drawing on tradition folklore and, of course, music, they run classes and sessions for beginner, intermediate and master cha-cha-cha-ers.
On Tuesday night Shoreditch salsa fans can attend the hour-long beginner class from 7pm, or the slightly more advanced at 8pm. Focussing on the Cuban Rueda, dancers can spin some moves, after which they have the chance to show off their new found skills, with a club open until 2am. Archway-based snakehip lessons take place on Saturdays, starting at 8pm or 9pm in the Latin Groove Lounge, which has DJs or live bands, allowing post-class rumba revelry until 4am. Happy hours run until 10pm at both venues, and food is available until midnight at the East London spot. Furthermore, for those attending Latin Groove Lounge Club session, occasional Saturdays can be swapped with Fridays, when El Rumbon Cubano classes are also held at 9pm.
