Pushing the boat out with Mexican and West Indian treasures, the culinary contingency are now based at the uber trendy Open Kitchen in Hoxton, reputed as one of the top-shelf cooking schools in London. With the spring of a jerked chicken and jump of a spicy bean, fresh colour meets funky design, fused with a spice-pickled array of exotic delights waiting to silence the rumble of tummies.

An outside terrace with heated patio presents foodies with the option of alfresco dining, beginning their Carribean and Mexican experience with starters (£8.50) such as three kinds of king prawns; each marinated and presented with individual flair, laid out in order of consumption according to complimentary flavours; succulent and striking, served with tomato aioli and vinaigrettes.
