While a man's home is his castle, recent castle in the air reports suggest that he might find a house more grounded. Work from the floor up with today's Groupon: £10 for two day tickets to The Great British Home Show on 31 May to 4 June 2012 at Glow, Bluewater.
About the venue
Constructed to the tune of £60 million, Glow, Bluewater is a tailor-made events space spanning 5,200 square metres. With an upper and lower hall as well as a private gallery area, the expansive centre extends from Bluewater's shopping facilities to host fashion, food, lifestyle, and comedy events.

About the event
Set to run over the first weekend in June, The Great British Home Show will add to over 200 exhibitors with the regal celebrations of a Great British street party. The 2012 show's theme is “reveal your hidden home”, and keeps centre focus on ways to improve, rather than exchange, habitats. Great British kitchens, bedrooms, and gardens are amongst the comprehensive lot covered here, while an entire section will also be dedicated to food. Those interested in redecorating can intersperse time spent at creative features and exhibits with sups of British beers, bites of British cuisine, and note-taking from the chefs serving up practical cooking advice.

Other attractions
Fully embracing the festive summer spirit, the 2012 Great British Home Show will devote a whole floor to a Great British street party. The floor will be designed to look like a village green, complete with a brass band and traditional market stalls. Visitors will be invited to step back in time with a typical 1952 home, comparing its enclaves to the shining new examples on display in the rest of the show.
