An early prototype for the wakeboard was the hakeboard, but there was always something fishy about it. Wake up with today's Groupon from Club Wake Park. Choose from the following options:
• £19 for a two hour wakeboarding lesson with kit hire for one person (62% off)• £37 for a two hour wakeboarding lesson with kit hire for two people (63% off)
• £105 for a two hour wakeboarding lesson with kit hire for six people (65% off)
Running an adrenaline-drenched operation, Club Wake Park offers water space as well as tuition for anyone looking to skim the surface of Grendon Lakes. The advanced Sesitec System 2.0 cable system allows for swift turnarounds, delivering all the exhilaration of a boat or jet ski but doing it double time. Having built three new obstacles designed to progress riding in conjunction with the 2.0 cable, wakeboarders can now attempt air rallies, backrolls and spins on the lake's shiny new rails.
The two hour lesson for beginners will start with a few safety notes before covering the basic technique of slipping out over the water. Suiting up and holding on, students can harness the power of the 2.0 cable as they whizz and froth around the park. Wetsuit and wakeboard are included, and the truly adventurous can have a go at some tricks once they've settled into water-walking.
